| YAKEEN is about Nikhil (Arjun Rampal), a young and handsome business tycoon in Himachal, married to the beautiful Simar (Priyanka Chopra), a young lady with considerable charms. Though it's happy marriage, their relationship is seemingly devoid of that closeness which represents the ideal bonding. Life takes a bizarre turn when their car plummets from a height crashing down the hillside, turning into a total wreck. Nikhil is moved in a comatose to the finest hospital and his recovery from an extremely critical state is both slow and painful. The beautiful Simar escapes relatively unscathed with minor cuts and bruises. |

Yakeen seeks inspiration from the 1991 Hollywood movie "Shattered" starring Tom Berenger, Greta Scacchi, Bob Hoskins.
Arjun Rampal suits his character very well. He verily complements his looks & voice with an ample range of expressions, from love to suspicion. Priyanka Chopra after her stunning performance in "Aitraaz", catches the attention of audience with her cunning looks. The gorgeous belle seems to have a natural flair to change expressions in no time. Kim Sharma fails to impress the audience.
The screenplay of the movie strong, interesting and solid that will keep you glued to your seat for the entire length of the movie. A glaring flaw in the movie, Arjun's voice has been used throughout although they were two separate entities. The direction charges the movie with full of energy, and makes it interesting with almost no dull moments in the two hour plot.
Overall, another MUST watch suspense thriller. |
